Bio

Mike is currently the Facilities Instrumentation Specialist at the National Orbital Education and Research Center, University of North Dakota, and is the electrical engineer in charge of instrumentation on the NASA Airborne Science DC-8, P-3, NC-130 and HC-130 aircraft. He is also aircrew as a data system operator. Previously Mike was an Instrumentation and Flight Test Engineer at the National Test Pilot School, and was the engineer responsible for all aircraft flight test instrumentation, telemetry, and mission control room systems. Mike has also worked for the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center as an Instrumentation Engineer, where among other projects he was the lead instrumentation engineer for sonic boom research, and for the Mars Science Laboratory/Curiosity rover landing radar flight test mission. Mike graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004, and has a PE in Electrical Engineering in California. Mike is on the board of directors and an active member in both the Southern California Chapter of the California Society of Professional Engineers and the Antelope Valley Chapter of the Society of Flight Test Engineers.
