Bio

Andy Anderson graduated with honors from Montana Technological University in Butte, Montana in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Mathematics Minor. Andy worked for Dowl, a consulting engineering, inspection, and surveying firm in Butte, Montana, from May of 2019 to May of 2021 as a Materials Testing Technician. While at Dowl, he was responsible for managing the materials testing program and the materials testing laboratory. Andy Anderson began working for the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in May of 2021 as A Civil Engineering Analyst, working in Construction Engineering, Inspection, and Surveying for major transportation projects. At MDT, he is responsible for construction inspection, construction staking, topographic surveying, project management, and contract administration. At MDT, he has completed the Management Development Program, the Engineering Project Manager Mentoring Program, and the Supervisor Compass program. Andy Anderson is licensed as an Engineer Intern in Montana. He has served as the Industry Advisor for the Montana Technological University Student Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America since August of 2019. He served on the NSPE Engineering Access and Growth Committee from 7/2025 to 6/2026. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He also serves as a STEM tutor and volunteer for elementary schools within the Butte School District.
